Derek Jeter's Biography:
Derek Jeter was born on June 26, 1974. He was born in Pequannock, New Jersey. Derek Jeter bats and throws with his right hand. His Major League Debut was on May 29, 1995. When Derek plays baseball he is the New York Yankee's shortstop. Amazingly, Derek Jeter won both, the All-Star and World Series MVP trophies in the same season. Derek Jeter did a lot for the community and charity.
Derek created a Turn 2 Foundation. This program was to prevent young teenagers from using drugs and to get active in many activities. Derek Jeter did a lot for the Yankees as well. When Derek Jeter went at bat his his first rookie season, he hit a homerun. Derek Jeter was in the New York Yankees for quite a bit. He is currently the captain for his team. While in High-school, Hall of Famer Dave Winfield inspired Derek Jeter to play baseball. It was becasue of Dave that Derek Jeter is now playing for the New York Yankees.
